what IS ZiNG!?
ZiNG! is togetherness.
Food and wine kind of togetherness that is, using a method to get there that we call ZiNG! The name refers to that spark, that pizzazz that happens when two things unite and are just way better together than alone.
Have a look here at a great article by Katherine Cole in The Oregonian (Portland, OR) ZiNG! wine pairing method finds perfect match
Watch out for Katherine’s new book ‘Voodoo Vintners’ – a wonderful read.
ZiNG! is based on chemistry – irrefutable, unbiased, chemistry. We’ve done the homework already, don’t worry. We will show it to you in a simple and fun (even funny sometimes) format that is dead easy to follow. More on that later.
At the end of the day, what you like to eat & drink together is totally up to you, of course, as an individual. It has become kind of trendy to say it doesn’t matter what food & wine you pair up, that it’s all fine together – and if that’s how you feel, go for it! But what if we told you, and showed you, that everything could be better, all the time? It can, and it is EASY. No more worries, no more embarrassing moments when you’re out with the boss or your new girlfriend or the gorgeous guy who just moved in with your neighbour.
Some rules, as they say (especially those of thumb) are made to be broken, and that is where ZiNG! comes in…
learning to ZiNG! Workshops & Events
We are currently taking bookings for April or May if you are interested in hosting a ZiNG! workshop in your area, give us a call @ 971.241.4008, and …the app is coming!
We had a ton of fun in N. Carolina last week, I really look forward to more events in our future together. Thanks Country Vintner!
There are several workshops coming up in the SE soon, see what they’re saying in Alabama – The Anniston Star. Bobby is a ton of fun!

The easiest, quickest, and most sure fire way, for now, of learning what ZiNG! feels like is to do a workshop – period. Get in touch with us, tell us where you are, we will figure out when the next and closest workshop to you will be.
Listen to a few words here after a workshop in McMinnville, Oregon… ZiNG! is liberating!
How about a ZiNG! party? In the very near future we will have a kit available which will show you how to stage a ZiNG! thing at home! We will walk you through it and you’ll have a blast, you can try everything on your own first and THEN call the neighbourhood to come by!
Join our mailing list and we’ll let you know when all this fun stuff is happening.
There’s a little black CONTACT box at the bottom of the page, email us from there and you’re good.
Stay tuned! Shouldn’t be too long.
if you’re interested
We have a list already, would you believe, of people around the country who want to become affiliated with ZiNG! as trainers.
In order to become part of the family, we will need a couple of things from you. They will include a simple resumé, showing us you have a fairly solid food and wine background, and we will also ask you for a couple of references. Nothing to do with old parking tickets, breathe – but rather about your enthusiasm and interest in putting food and wine together this way and an ability to communicate the incredible freedom and confidence ZiNG! brings to consumers! It’s such a huge deal we want to do it right, everywhere, every time.
We’re being a mite picky who we bring into the training program but if it IS important to you and you’re excited by the possibility, let’s talk. Scroll down a ways again to the little black CONTACT box at the bottom of the page and write to us there.
February 2011
Congratulations to the most recent ZiNG! alumni – Lisa Bonet (Atlanta) Bobby Flournoy (Atlanta) and Steve Hoberg (Atlanta).
They now join Elizabeth Cooper (NC) and Brett Davis MS (KY) as certified ZiNG! workshop presenters.
Way to go, guys. We know it is tough, chemistry can be very intimidating when it’s not your comfort zone, but thank you all for going the distance – you were great!
